By using one of Pein's techniques a Sand Nin spy for Akatsuki is changed to look like Kisame. The body double is controlled by Kisame but only has a third of his chakra.
The only one of the original genins to make it to the level of jounin, Neji(s) has greatly increased his ability with both byakugan and gentle fist taijutsu.
After nearly three years, Chouji has grown into a reliable ninja and is now a chuunin. His appetite has grown and so has his body, but now he is truly mastering the Akimichi clan techniques.
In the past couple years Ino(s) has become a chuunin and improved her ability with her family's mind control techniques. During this time she also began learning rudimentary medical techniques.
